What does $3 billion worth of construction look like in the fastest growing county in Tennessee? Well, for starters there will be a lot more office space for the burgeoning white-collar jobs that are taking up space as more and more companies relocate their headquarters in Williamson County. And all those new workers need places to live, so there are homes, apartments, and condos under construction all over the county in what many are calling mixed-used developments. And then you also have a proposed community with a golf course that they hope will be designed by Tiger Woods, and a reclaimed rock quarry that will soon become a 15,000 square-foot event space and outdoor amphitheater to seat 5,000. The landscape is definitely changing in many different ways.
In June of 2014, I wrote about the beginning stages of some of the big projects happening around the corner of McEwen and Carothers in Cool Springs, and a lot has taken shape since then with more to go. This link has some great overview information of what is already taking place.
And just this past August I wrote about the many projects that are also going on in downtown Nashville as that skyline continues to change and draw more people to the area. You can find that link here.
The Nashville Business Journal continues to do an excellent job of digging for all the exciting construction information, so I'm not going to re-invent the wheel here. Follow this link and click on the interactive map to see an overview of 42 projects currently going on in Williamson County. Yes, 42!
