Celebrating Our Independence in Williamson County

Happy Independence Day! I hope you and your family are enjoying a day of celebrations together, despite the rain in Williamson County. Click here for a list of Middle Tennessee events and cancellations.

Our nation’s birthday is a great day to learn more about the rich history of Williamson County. We wouldn’t have the freedoms we have today if it were not for the brave and visionary men and women who have endured hardships and put their lives on the line for years in this county and this country.

The following links will give you brief early history lessons of Brentwood, Tenn., and Franklin, Tenn. Consider exploring further by visiting the Williamson County Museum in Franklin at the old post office at Five Points and the many other rich landmarks throughout the county. Learning about our history can make us more appreciative for where we are today.

Thank you to all of our brave servicemen and women from the past, present, and future.
